Topoplan 2012 Preparation of topographic plans
Topoplan 2012 is designed to create digital terrain models. Topographic plans created by means of Topoplan 2012 have a number of advantages. In particular, LandProf 2012 can read out existing engineering communications and facilities (pipelines, cables, roads, electric-power transmission, etc.) drawn in Topoplan 2012 and automatically create intersection entities in the network information model. This considerably reduces the scope of manual work during the preparation of the route profiles and creation of intersection lists. The availability in the network digital model of objects of intersection with the existing communications allows to accelerate considerably the process of vertical planning of the network, especially, if the designed territory is a developed area.
Information system for engineering and geological surveys
System Pipeline 2012 Gas Distribution includes three applications, Laboratory 4.0, Geologist 4.0 and GeoDraw 2012 which constitute a high performance information system for processing of large scopes of engineering and geological survey data. Information on soils included in the information model of the gas distribution network allows to increase the performance and quality of the design works, in particular, thanks to the possibility to take into account soil characteristics in the process of calculation of pipeline strength or calculation of the bulk of soil where categories of soils are to be distinguished according to difficulty of processing. The applications for engineering geological survey, can be used both by the civil engineering company designing the network and by contractors. In the latter case, a unified information system can be created to cover the activities of subcontractors.
LotWorks Digit 2012 Work with Contractors
LotWorks Digit 2012 is a free application for organization of effective interaction between the designing company and subcontractors performing the surveys. The experience of using the application showed that unpredicted delays in the designers’ work are caused by simple mistakes in the original set of the network profiles as they are often created manually or with the use of a diverse set of odd software programs which does not ensure due quality level. It takes much effort and time to correct such mistakes, especially, if the survey is carried out by contractors. Organizations conducting surveys for designers of gas distribution networks can use LotWorks Digit 2012 to prepare the network profile drawings created in AutoCAD in the format of System Pipeline 2012. LotWorks Digit 2012 allows to detect mistakes at the stage of preparation of survey materials and correct them on time. The modified drawings are then passed to the designing organization using System Pipeline 2012 Gas Distribution for designing the gas distribution network.
